On the way to McKenzie Bridge to spend New Year's there, our class decided to stop by our old parish, Our Lady of the Mountain, which the Order handed back over to the diocese a few years ago. Fr. Joseph, the current pastor, welcomed us warmly. The parishioners were also happy to see us as we returned, for a day, the familiar white habit to the church.

When entering Our Lady of the Mountain, one could not help but notice the painting of Our Lady's face hung upon the wall. Br. Gabriel insisted that a picture be taken. Indeed, she is beautifully portrayed. Of course, he insisted that I take another of her statue right oustide the church... |

Pictured here are the brothers with the Cochran family girls. As soon as it was revealed that Br. David had onced worked in Hollywood and knew Sean Astin (Samwise Gamgee, The Lord of the Rings), they descended upon him. We doubt that there's a more cheerful group than these young ladies. |
